Wed, October 12, 2005 - 11:50 AMHey dude-
I just fired off some invites to other tribes that you may find interesting/useful also. You might already belong to some, but the discussion here goes long periods without posting sometimes (not that it's not cool, just slow).

Live and Reason are both great software tools. Check out Peff's site as he has some great Reason resources, he goes back to Rebirth days of '92. I have his power tools for Reason book that uses manual rewire configurations to hookup instruments and effects as you might with real hardware racks, scroll down the page in Reason Effects Configurations samples. Peff has a lot of content and it may look overwhelming but I would like to recommend his hard earned knowledge. Have a look at the refills, check out the Peff 023 Thermin.rfl. -

Re: newb stuff
Fri, December 16, 2005 - 9:52 AMJust as a little help-- check into the Hercules DJ Console as a controller for Ableton. I use it and I really like it. It has a crossfader, like 30 assignable buttons and sliders, and a built in USB 2.0 audio interface and surround sound speaker drivers.
Then you can just plug a cheap casio keyboard into the MIDI port and run rings around an Oxygen or whatever else people are getting.
